High Blood Pressure

08:22
High blood pressure or hypertension is a condition when the force of blood against the walls of arteries increases. The normal blood pressure of a human being is 130/85. Earlier it was 120/80 but due to the changed conditions of more stressful life, now the average blood pressure is considered to be 130/85. If the blood pressure measures high (equals to or more than 140/90) than the person suffers from high blood pressure also called hypertension. High blood pressure is risky medical condition as it makes the heart work harder in order to pump blood to the body that, in turn, contributes to hardening of the arteries or atherosclerosis. This increases the chance for getting heart disease and kidney disease. If blood pressure is not controlled than high blood pressure can lead to stroke too.
